I decided to cook up some of my famous banana pancakes yesterday on a whim -no particular reason, I needed a break from work and the kids hadn't had them in a while. I ended up very happy to have had the whim in the end -as I nearly perfected the banana pancake as a result. Everything about them was perfect, or at least very close -the only complaint I had was in the fluff. I would have liked to have seen a bit more in the end, but in my defense, I was completely out of eggs (a key ingredient for the fluff factor).

a+
3cups pancake mix
1 cup milk
1 mashed banana
4tbs melted hot butter (these 3 mixed first)
1 extra cup milk

griddle at 250 - 275°
I was changing the temp around the entire time, the ideal being somewhere between these two.

I can't say enough of how well these came out, they were perfectly cooked and the taste was simply inspiring.

It might seem odd to go through all this when there's one available on the web for a measly $10 -but maybe you don't want to buy something or maybe you've tried it and it didn't suit your needs.

In my day to day dealings with various clients, the topic of search engine optimization (SEO) is constantly brought to my attention. Customers see these ads online, they get emails about their page rank and other stats, and they begin to inquire about their need for this elusive undertaking.

The truth however, is that most companies need not concern themselves with this. Of course I wouldn't go so far as to say it wouldn't help their business in some ways, being optimized for search engines does help. The majority of small business however, will likely never see any return on the time and money spent on making this happen. SEO is a time consuming and costly, never ending project -and the return on all of that, can be delayed for more than a year.

Contrary to popular belief, you can have your css validate while still using opacity for rollovers, it just takes a little cheating. Of course I typically advise against cheats in web development, but this is one that simply cannot bring about any negative effects -so why not?

The opacity doesn't validate because it's supposedly only valid since css3, however I've yet to find a browser that won't display things correctly when using it. Perhaps I just don't have a pc old or outdated enough -but is that even a problem (the opacity, not my lack of old computers). If the only issue in viewing your site on a pc that old is the lack of opacity, you're in good shape. Anyway, on to that glorious validation.

As a company, we tend to build most of our sites in CMSMS (CMS Made Simple), and have found several tricks to getting around the program with little effort.

Granted, this won't be a blog post of majestic awe or discovery -but worth posting none the less. Targeting individual pages can be done in CMSMS without creating a template for each page, and there is one simple way of doing it. And that is the '{title}' tag, by simply sticking that on the back of any class selector in your template, you can effectively target that page with css.

The 320° was too hot, otherwise this may have been the right mix -which means I'll likely rerun this with a lower templerature before moving on to another recipe. The taste may have been a 5 as well had they not been slightly burned.
